Starchie initially began in 2017 as an e-commerce site offering up a selection of home goods and lifestyle products from Asian designers. In 2019, Starchie launched its inaugural Urban Living Collection, consisting of the Castella sofa and the Naughton coffee table. With the collection, Starchie offers a different way of thinking: one that believes your furniture can—and should—grow with you through life. From curating products to creating their own, the motivation behind Starchie has always been the same—to connect people with good design.
UNIFORM provides original content for Starchie’s digital and social platforms through photography and copywriting, content curation, as well as the management of their Instagram and Facebook pages. We also hosted members of the press and influencers for the launch of its Urban Living Collection.

EVENT PHOTOGRAPHY—BOUTIQUE FAIRS SINGAPORE
In November 2018, Starchie launched the first prototypes of their Urban Living Collection at Boutique Fairs Singapore (BFS). UNIFORM provided event photography for Starchie, even as it returned to BFS for two further seasons: March 2019 and November 2019.
MEDIA LAUNCH
On 21st March, Starchie launched their inaugural Urban Living Collection—both online and on Kickstarter. UNIFORM invited and hosted influencers, members of the press, as well as 5 directors/production designers to talk about their work in relation to space (or the lack of) in Singapore. We also revealed the Castella sofa and Naughton table, which guests got to experience while mingling over food from Grain Traders and drinks from Seedlip.

CAMPAIGN — STARCHIE TRAVELS
After the official launch of the Urban Living Collection, we wanted to bring Starchie into the homes and workspaces of people to showcase just how easily the Castella sofa and Naughton coffee table could be transported and set up. The result: Starchie Travels, a video shot on a full day traveling around the island, bringing Starchie to some friends.
