Born in 1989, Hungarian photographer/art director Mate Moro has a portfolio full of intriguing projects.

Stark and approximating the clinical, he manages a good mix between the romantic, absurd and morbidly fascinating. Possessing an expert eye for composition, Moro’s pictures reflect the relationship between his subjects and the space around them. Often convoluted and shaped like the soft and supple skins of Ang Ku Kueh (red tortoise cakes that are stamped with intricate patterns), his characters are moulded by the space around them.

We are more than keen to see more from this young visual sculptor.
