Photographer Ken Hermann’s latest project documents the variety of characters in the Mallick Ghat flower market of Calcutta, India, creating an intriguing portrait book of some of the hundreds of flower vendors at the marketplace, which has been in operation for more than a century. Flowers are used in temple offerings and Hindu weddings in India, and it seems only fitting that Hermann pays tribute to the faces behind the blooms.
