A video commissioned by style magazine and style:MEN, and a collaboration with The Boy Who Cried Action this short- titled ‘Ebb & Flow’ is an expression of time, as inspired by Tudor’s Chronograph Heritage Blue. Influenced by the carefree warmth and glamour of the Mediterranean and holiday destinations of the 60s and 70s, this elegant yet sporty piece pays homage to Tudor’s original 1970 Montecarlo Chronograph.
With its deep, opulent shade of blue, fresh burst of tangerine and accents of white and grey, this lively chromatic spectrum represents a timepiece that is contemporary, fun and youthful all at once. Taking our inspiration from the Canadian architect, Arthur Erickson’s and his modernist approach to design, as well as his quote (‘There is a single thread of attitude, a single direction of flow, that joins our present time to its early burgeoning in Mediterranean civilization’), this video hopes to convey how time flows one-directionally and how it remains a wholly abstract and intangible concept, amplified only when contrasted with one’s state of eventual stasis.
