SPRMRKT was founded in 2012 by Sue-Shan Quek and chef Joseph Yeo with the aim of making the everyday a little different. At SPRMRKT, diners were first introduced to the supermarket experience, redefined: they could taste the ingredients on the menu before browsing our extensive selection of food and homeware products to bring something home for their friends and loved ones.
Today, SPRMRKT continues to bring together food, retail, and art, showcasing some of the finest local and international produce, products, and artwork across two locations: in the original SPRMRKT at McCallum Street, and in the new SPRMRKT Daily and SPRMRKT Kitchen & Bar outlets in STPI. UNIFORM provided original content for all SPRMRKT’s digital and social platforms, through photography and copywriting as well as the management of SPRMRKT’s Instagram and Facebook pages.

SPRMRKT Daily
Opened on the 30th August 2016, SPRMRKT Daily at STPI will press on in enriching this dining and shopping experience. Incorporating a grocery-style shop into a riverside café, Daily hopes to become the go-to place in the Robertson Quay area whenever one’s on the hunt for mealtime favourites, handcrafted products, or just fresh, carefully-sourced ingredients. The menu presents simple food, cooked well and served differently; highlights include some of the most-loved dishes from McCallum Street, as well as some new surprises. The store also carries a mix of goods from around the world, including a specially-curated selection of products by homegrown brands Supermama and BooksActually.

SPRMRKT KITCHEN & BAR
Opened on the 30th August 2016, SPRMRKT Kitchen & Bar resides above SPRMRKT Daily and is a restaurant that introduces accessible fine dining. Helmed by head chef Jonathan Ong, Kitchen & Bar is SPRMRKT’s first foray into a more all-rounded dining experience. Although the restaurant presents food of the quality of a fine-dining establishment, diners can seek comfort in an unpretentious, welcoming space that carries the familiarity of SPRMRKT’s outlets.
Similarly, UNIFORM provided curated as well as original content for all SPRMRKT’s digital and social platforms, through photography and copywriting as well as the management of SPRMRKT’s Instagram and Facebook pages.
