The female identity and societal position is often questioned, challenged, and sometimes, neglected; perhaps it is only fitting that Spanish-based photographer, graphic/web designer and editor Rocio Montoya draws parallels between the female form, and of nature, whose very existence is being endangered. Man becomes the third party and bystander in these collages, which are dreamlike, surreal, and haunting, and which make use of magazines, vintage botanical illustrations, photographic portraits, and old family postcards.
