New York-based artist James Clar finds parallels between light and technology, and creates colourful installations that are mesmerizing, but somehow cold and sterile—a commentary on the omnipresence of technology and its impact on our lives. Clar skilfully manipulates light and structure to create vaguely familiar forms, and leaves the rest up to the imagination.
